Joanne Lumaban, PT, DPT – PT
Joanne received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Miami in May 2021. She graduated with honors and was also the recipient of the Linda Crane Memorial Scholarship for excellence in clinical practice.
As a student, Joanne was involved in the university’s pro-bono clinic, where she dedicated time to providing physical therapy services for low-income residents of Miami-Dade County. Joanne’s clinical experiences gave her the opportunity to work with a wide array of patient populations from musculoskeletal to neurological disorders, and develop a number of skills including myofascial release and manual lymphatic drainage. She was privileged to spend time working in the oncology rehabilitation department at Baptist South Miami Hospital where she was trained in complete decongestive therapy. She is passionate about guiding her patients towards independence and improving daily function through movement-based, individualized treatment.
